DakshinaChitra is organizing a workshop on Pyrography for children. Pyrography is a technique to burn the designs on wood, leather, glass, or crystal. It began during the 19th century, but it was in the 20th century that it became very popular, largely due to the development of an electronic tool that is used to burn the designs onto the wood. Pyrography is usually used with wood, but it can also be used with leather, glass, or crystal.
At DakshinaChitra, the children will get to learn the technique of burning the design onto the wooden tray.
Refreshments &conveyance to and from DakshinaChitra, on the staff van, will be provided. The workshop fee is inclusive of materials, refreshments and transport.
