People think geography is boring! It’s actually exciting and interesting!
Come and explore geography that is beyond textbooks and really fulfilling !
1.For age groups about 10 years and above
Workshop id: 01— Geographies of Ebola – Medical geography is a subfield of geography. In this workshop, you will learn about the connections among geography, origin and spread of Ebola disease, travel, quarantine, epidemics, pandemics, wealth, poverty, and development.
Workshop id: 02— Edward Snowden’s geographies – Edward Snowden created a huge controversy when he leaked highly secret documents held in the US government. This set off fascinating — and in some parts, dangerous — geographic processes that connect latitudes, longitudes, protected spaces, violations, geographical rights, and international borders.
Timings: 2 pm – 5 pm
Bring: Notebook, pen/pencil, paper, school atlas, small bottle of drinking water, and your curiosity.
Take: A NEW understanding of geography, ability to ask geography questions, ability to look at the world through geography, and ability to analyze things geographically.

2. For children around age 8 years and above
About the workshops:
Workshop id: 03 — Latitudes and longitudes – those boring, pesky “imaginary lines”! No! Those very interesting lines. Come and learn about them in a fun and exciting way!
Workshop id: 04 — Mapping our neighborhood – boring maps? No! Interesting maps! Because they are about the neighborhood, about places we see almost daily. Except, you make these maps! And not just lines and dots – it’s a LOT more geography fun!
Timings: 10 am – 1 pm
Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, notebook, pen, pencil, eraser, school atlas, small bottle of drinking water, and your curiosity.
Take: A NEW understanding of geography, ability to ask geography questions, ability to look at the world through geography, ability to analyze things geographically
